More Long Term Thinking
Need to get these goals out while they're fresh in my head. (thought process courtesy of malfaire and his email regarding The Steps AKA How to Never Go Broke).
Basically, the process is:
1) Have the minimum of 30 buy ins
2) Win 20 BIs
3) Cash out 10 BIs
4) Repeat 4x
5) Now you have 60 BIs, and a shitload of experience. Move up.
So let's see here. Let's just consider November. Even though it was a heater month, December is going much the same way (but is only half over).
November stats
NL 10 5.4K hands 12.58 BB/100
NL 25 2.2K hands 14.38 BB/100
Total 7.6K hands 13.29 BB/100
Bankroll to date: ~$560
So in November I gained X BIs =
[(13.29 BB/100 hands)*(1 BI / 50 BB)*(7600 hands / month)]
where X ~ 20.2
This means that, all things remaining the same (sick winrate, very little working out, 2-tabling at UB, X amount of hours/day), I'll be at NL25 by FEBRUARY.
reality bites.
I guess that's why they call this a grind...
things to think about changing: poker sites, # of tables played, life scheduling (restrict/expand playing time), tournament skill, playing SnGs/MTTs if I find myself with extra time, etc.

Over break, we'll be discussing some areas where we will NOT be aggressive post flop, table image, player tendencies, etc.
